NIISQ Agency administers the National Injury Insurance Scheme in Queensland. The scheme funds necessary and reasonable treatment, care and support for people who have sustained an eligible serious personal injury in a motor vehicle accident in Queensland.   

Our main functions include: 

1. administering the National Injury Insurance Scheme in Queensland

2. providing information to the community about the scheme

3. monitoring and reviewing the operation of the scheme, including the treatment, care and support of participants in the scheme

4. providing support and funding for programs, research and education relevant to the treatment, care and support of participants in the scheme.
