About the role
The Arts and Disability Associated Plan (ADAP) is a plan to make life better for people with disability. This Plan is about what we can do to make arts and culture more equitable,accessible and inclusive for d/Deaf and disabled artists, arts workers and audiences.
This role is a chance to drive change and deliver arts and disability projects and initiatives that can improve the lives of people with disability. You will support stakeholders to deliver projects and initiatives that reflect our commitment to arts and disability under the ADAP.
You will:

apply your skills and experience to help deliver quality arts and disability projects
-
help deliver the tasks assigned to Creative Australia in the ADAP
-
work with our disability working group to deliver our disability action plan
-
work with relevant teams to deliver our annual arts and disability awards event
-
work with relevant teams to report on ADAP projects
-
write project plans,briefs and reports for internal and external stakeholders
-
support relevant teams to manage existing arts and disability projects
-
work with relevant teams to develop new arts and disability initiatives
What we are looking for
You will have:
-
lived experience as a person with disability
-
experience in one or more artform areas within the disability arts sector (e.g. Literature, Visual Arts, Dance, Music, Theatre)
-
experience working with diverse stakeholders
-
experience supporting teams to deliver projects
-
experience using different communication methods
-
good organisational and time management skills
-
good computer skills (e.g. MS Office Outlook, Word, and Excel) and the ability to learn new software.
