About the role
As the HR Officer, Payroll Benefits you will deliver outstanding customer service through the provision of payroll specialist support, advice and transactional services specifically relating to superannuation, salary packaging and Commonwealth Paid Parental Leave. In this role you will work independently and collaboratively within a small team to:
- Process high volume payroll transactions in accordance with award, taxation, legislative and audit requirements.
- Resolve enquiries/escalations and provide consistent and professional advice in a timely and customer focused manner.
- Proactively support improvement initiatives of existing processes and systems by identifying inefficiencies and make suggestions for improvements.

Key knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
