Principal Project & Strategy Officer

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Strategy & Engagement Team at IPART, which is comprised of three sub-teams:

  • Strategy
  • Aboriginal Strategy & Engagement
  • Communications & Engagement. 

This role sits within the Strategy sub-team and will help to establish and deliver a Project Management Office and related framework to build project management capability, improve visibility across the portfolio and support strategic decisions.

The role will also work closely with the Manager, Strategy & Planning, to develop and deliver IPART’s prioritised strategic agenda, including through IPART-wide communication, coordination, and reporting as well as delivering targeted strategic projects to achieve agency wide goals.

The salary range for the position is $144,622 to $153,550 per annum, plus superannuation and annual leave loading.

About you

We are looking for a values driven individual who thrives in a collaborative environment to deliver outcomes with a level of autonomy. You will be a problem solver and relationship builder who is able to engage with internal stakeholders and draw on your project and portfolio management expertise to propose and implement solutions that meet organisational needs.

You will also have experience working in broader strategic planning and delivery that will help you contribute to other strategic projects to support delivery of IPART’s strategic goals.

Our ideal candidate will have similar experience in a strategic planning environment, and knowledge and experience in leading project and portfolio management frameworks, continuous improvement initiatives and change management programs.
