About the role.
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Associate, Policy to lead complex policy and project initiatives that will shape the future of our services and drive significant reforms. In this role, you will identify emerging issues and provide insightful, well-researched options that enable effective decision-making. Your expertise will be pivotal in preparing high-level advice for the Premier and the executive team of the Premier’s Department, ensuring our strategies are informed, innovative, and impactful.

About the Team.
The Emergency Management branch at Premier’s Department works closely with the Minister for Emergency Services, Emergency Service Organisations and other key agencies across government to promote effective delivery of emergency and rescue services.
The Branch supports the government sector through providing strategic policy advice, supporting the coordination and governance of the emergency management sector, advocating for NSW at the national level and managing and maintaining emergency management and rescue policy frameworks.

- You are an experienced policy professional with a strong track record in developing, evaluating, and implementing strategic initiatives and service delivery reforms.
- You have a talent for coaching and mentoring team members, ensuring they excel in delivering state-significant projects.
- You excel at reviewing Cabinet proposals and project submissions, facilitating stakeholder consultations, and developing sound, feasible recommendations.
- You want to critically analyse complex policy issues and provide high-quality advice for the Premier, ensuring key issues are addressed accurately and succinctly.
- You understand the importance of building and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders across the public and private sectors to facilitate engagement and collaboration on policy issues.

Salary: Clerk Grade 9/10. Package includes base salary ($120,859 - $133,183) plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
