ABOUT GRANTS

The Grants Division is a passionate team of Solicitors and Administrative staff who are responsible for assisting clients with their applications for legal assistance. We consistently strive to achieve customer service excellence when providing information to our clients across a range of legal matters including family, civil and criminal law.


The Grants Division can provide opportunities for professional development across the Division and Legal Aid NSW including training across various law matter types. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Grants Officer is responsible for processing, assessing and determining applications for grants of aid. The role will ensure applications/extensions are within policy, guidelines and delegations to ensure client service and Legal Aid NSW standards are met as well as answering a variety of enquiries by telephone and written communication.

You should possess the following skills:
•    A strong commitment to customer service
•    The ability to work collaboratively with team members
•    Be able to plan and prioritise work activities to achieve set goals
•    The ability to prioritise and multitask in a high-volume environment and be able to resolve complex client issues and needs. 
•    Be self-motivate in a flexible work environment.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Willingness to undertake a Criminal Record Check and/or working with Children Check
• Hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Resident for the current and future ongoing vacancies
• Hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Resident or hold a valid working visa for future temporary vacancies

This recruitment will be used to fill any current vacancies and may be used to create a Talent Pool for similar future temporary or ongoing vacancies that may arise over the next 18 months.
