The NSW Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) is a part of the Planning and Environment Cluster. It aims to enrich life in NSW by helping the community to conserve and enjoy our environment and heritage. For more information go to www.environment.nsw.gov.au.
 
This role will work for Science Division, which sits within the Office of Environment and Heritage. Science Division provides scientific evidence and knowledge to underpin environmental decision making, regulation and service delivery.
 
About the Role:
The Assistant Project Officer will be a member of the Executive Support and Divisional Services (ESDS) Team that comprises the Executive stream (Ministerial and Chief Executive briefings and HR related initiatives) and the Operational Delivery stream.  The role will work on projects across the ESDS and your responsibilities will include:
 
  • Assisting with project initiatives, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones and deliverables
  • Updating and collating project documentation to ensure the delivery of projects complies with agreed project management methodology
  • Undertaking research and analysis and contribute to the preparation of project briefs
  • Providing support to the activities of the Division including development of procedures
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Essential requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in contributing to the delivery of project outcomes and providing project administration for a diverse range of projects.
