NSW Department of Communities and Justice is the largest Child Protection agency in NSW and are looking for Casework Support Workers to join their team!

 

About the role

As a Casework Support Worker you will help caseworkers in their day-to-day work supporting children, young people, families and communities in varied and challenging circumstances.

No two days will be the same. One day you will be helping caseworkers prepare documentation, or will help with case planning for children and young people and the next day you’ll be sourcing and sharing information about families and making referrals or appointments.

 

What we offer you

·         A competitive base salary range $72,418 - $79,297 p.a. plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

·         Location of role may reside in Parkes, Condobolin or Cowra.

How to apply

You can apply to be a Casework Support Worker at DCJ (FACS) if you:

 

·         have a valid drivers licence

·         have a TAFE Diploma in a relevant field , welfare / community services,  OR relevant work experience deemed to be the equivalent experience

·         have a Working with Children clearance number prior to commencement in the role (to obtain further information on how to apply for a WWCC please click here)

 

To apply candidates must submit a covering letter (2 pages maximum) which includes a response to the two (2) targeted questions below plus an up-to-date resume which clearly details their skills and experience as relevant to this role.

 

1. As a Casework Support Worker you will be operating in an environment of competing demands and tight timeframes.

2. Please tell us about a time when you have worked as part of team to complete a complex task and/or meet strict deadlines. What did you do and what was the outcome?


Part of the assessment process may include additional online capability testing, skills testing or work samples in accordance with the new Government Sector Employment Act 2013, therefore you may be contacted to participate. You may also be asked to complete a Health Declaration Form in later stages of the assessment process.
