About the role
This is a challenging but rewarding opportunity for you to make a positive change in the lives of People with a Disability.  If you have a family or you are a student and are looking to find a role that offers you flexibility, this position could be ideal for you.

We have multiple permanent part-time positions available across our 24/7 supported residential home supporting Aboriginal men with a disability and to clients living in the community in Ceduna. Working in a team, you will be actively supporting their individual needs and creating a safe environment. Clients can display challenging behaviours so experience in this area would be essential.

These roles will require successful applicants to be available and willing to work within a 24/7 roster that includes regular shift work, including night shifts, weekends and public holidays. Examples of hours available are below:

7am -14:00 / 15:00

14:00/15:00  -  21:00

Sleepovers / weekend and public holiday shifts are also available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assistance with daily living (including personal care)
  • Community Access and Transport
  • Maintain and Monitor Person Centred Plans
  • Documenting and Progress Note keeping
  • Assist individuals to engage in cultural activities and maintain cultural connection

 Skills & Experience

  • Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or similar
  • Current Provide First Aid Certificate
  • Experience working with clients with challenging behaviours

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
