The NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal are recruiting to fill a temporary part-time role (2 days per week) at its Sydney CBD location

About the organisation
Communities and Justice (DCJ) enables services to better work together to support everyone’s right to access justice, support families and strengthen/bolster the promotion of early intervention and inclusion, with benefits for the whole community.
The NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) decides a range of civil and administrative cases in New South Wales. The types of cases dealt with by NCAT are broad and diverse. These range from tenancy issues and building works, to decisions on guardianship and administrative review of government decisions.
About the role
You will be providing comprehensive clerical and administrative support and services to internal and external clients.
This includes but is not limited to:
Travel arrangements and accurate and timely reimbursement of travel expenses ensuring compliance with legislative and departmental requirements.
Track and manage incoming and outgoing correspondence for the unit, communicate with staff and client to provide timely and effective information and referral services.
Monitor and maintain store supplies and equipment.
Complete financial transactions and reporting in a professional and timely manner.
Review of electronic and manual records and journals to ensure accuracy of expenses.
Internal and external stakeholders are well informed of Finance processes and comply with requirements
Duties
In addition to meeting the essential requirements, the successful candidate must demonstrate strong capabilities in:
Prioritising own workload and managing competing deadlines whilst working with minimal supervision.
Performing accurately in all work areas.
Maintaining a high level of professionalism when communicating with Tribunal members, staff and clients.
Role requirements
It is an essential requirement of the role that successful applicants will be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and proof of vaccination will be requested prior to commencing employment.
