Newly created change specialist role within the Department’s Workforce Transition team focusing on quality outcomes for our people.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced change specialist to join a team focused on quality outcomes for our people. Reporting to the Manager, Workforce Transition, you will be responsible for developing the Department’s frameworks and guidelines to build and support change management capability. You will also be a strategic partner, and subject matter expert supporting our business units to deliver new and realigned people structures that develop and optimise our people capability.

PRE-SCREENING QUESTIONS

  1. Describe a time when you were required to provide change management expertise during a realignment. How did you support the stakeholders to enable them to embed the required change?. (300 or 400 words maximum).
  2. Outline your experience in managing challenging workloads and competing demands in a large and complex organisation. What factors do you consider when prioritising your workload? (300 or 400 words maximum).

KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience across a range of HR functions, with a focus specific to this role on organisational change management.
  • Experience in supporting the implementation of concurrent organisational change initiatives.
  • Understanding of NSW public sector change management and workforce transition guidelines and procedures.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Tertiary qualifications or experience in a relevant discipline.
