About us

The Department of Communities and Justice carries an important purpose across many areas of its work, particularly when it comes to improving outcomes for children and young people, Aboriginal people, people with disability, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people experiencing domestic and family violence, victims of sexual assault, juvenile offenders, people at high risk of reoffending, and people experiencing homelessness.

Working together for stronger communities means we can continue to deliver our services with a more unified and collaborative approach. This means a greater focus on prevention and early intervention, faster responses, more seamless operations, less duplication of effort and better outcomes.

Psychological and Specialist Services provide consultation, assessment and therapeutic intervention to support children and young people in child protection and out-of-home-care. The unit provides specialist advice, training and support to families, carers and caseworkers to address issues relating to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.

About the role

The primary purpose of this role is to coordinate and undertake data analysis and evaluation initiatives that inform and improve service delivery and client outcomes for Psychological and Specialist Services. The role will focus on data collection, analysis and reporting across the service including the development of dashboards, quarterly business reporting and provision of evidence-based advice to the Executive team.

About you

You are highly skilled in data collection, analysis and reporting. You are able to work with a level of autonomy, managing competing tasks and priorities. You are confident in providing advice and recommendations to Executive staff, including the development and improvement of state-wide processes, to support quality service provision.
