About the role
Restorative Justice is a theory of justice that focuses on the damage caused by crime and wrongdoing to people, relationships, and community. It provides a framework for the people most affected by the crime to participate in its resolution.
The role provides trauma informed information and support to victims of crime, offenders and their support people who participate in restorative justice in a timely, respectiful and sensitive manner. The role requires you to assess, process, co-ordinate and deliver restorative justice services to restorative justice participants and their representatives. It include managing sensitive manners and relationships in an evidenced based manner, ensuring victims of crime are supported through a restorative justice process.
About you
The Victims Register and Restorative Justice Unit is currently seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the team. In this role, you will be required to maintain confidentiality, utilise your proven experience and knowledge working with individuals affected by trauma and crime to meet the demands of this role efficiently and effectively.
You will be required to adapt to workloads, competing rights of the needs and interests of the community, victims and offenders whilst working in a sensitive work environment.
