About the Role
The Professional Standards Branch (PSB) of Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) is expanding and has some exciting new opportunities available including the role of Senior Legal Officer V.
As the Senior Legal Officer (SLO), you will be reporting to the Principal Legal Officer and will be responsible for providing high legal level advice and case work services on a range of public sector employment and administrative law issues with particular emphasis on anti-discrimination, administrative and employment law. The SLO is also responsible for managing a team of Legal and Paralegal Officers to ensure that matters referred to PSB are progressed appropriately and efficiently with the relevant legislative framework. The SLO supervises, leads and manages staff reporting to the position by providing guidance and support on legal problems and the conduct of litigation mainly in the areas of employment and administrative law and assisting legal officers manage their workloads.
