Analyst Investment Enterprise Architecture and Strategy

The Investment, Enterprise Architecture & Strategy (IEAS) unit sits within Information & Digital Services within our Corporate Services division.

IEAS leads Stronger Communities and Principal Department Enterprise ICT strategies that enable and support the achievement of strategic direction, priorities, activities and performance. IEAS has a high focus on investment planning and identifying and securing avenues for the delivery and implementation of technology outcomes that enable our workforce. 

We also play an important role interfacing across the Stronger Communities technology cluster and aims to influence solution alignment and investment leverage review and analysis of the organisation’s business intentions, services, processes and information needs to identify changes that lead to business improvements.

Examples of the exciting work you’ll be engaged in;

 

  • Strategy Development across Stronger Communities Cluster
  • Financial modelling and forecasting for ICT initiatives
  • Investment planning, analysis and prioritisation in consultation with project sponsors and ICT specialists across Stronger Communities
  • Collaborating with clients, project delivery and ICT specialists to capture requirements and develop artefacts for project start up.
  • Development reports and briefing papers on ICT investment, opportunities and challenges to the senior executive.  

 

Primary purpose of the role

 

Review, analyse and support the Stronger Communities and Principle Department ICT strategies that enable and support the achievement of strategic direction, priorities, activities and performance. 

The role focuses on supporting investment planning including Digital Restart Fund processes, maintaining and supporting the enterprise architecture repositories and supporting functions including IDS service catalogue, service costing methodology, Service Partnership Agreements (SPA) and IDS Service Metrics reporting requirements.

 

Key accountabilities:

 

  • Undertake analysis activity required in the development of the ICT Strategies including the DCJ Principal Department Enterprise ICT Strategy and the Stronger Communities Cluster ICT Strategy
  • Reviews Enterprise Architecture principles have been considered within Frontline Divisional Services Line of Business Technology Alignment Plans and updates architecture repositories accordingly
  • Administers the support of Enterprise Architecture Governance processes to ensure compliance with standards
  • Provides analysis support in the DCJ Enterprise and LoB Investment planning and reporting process to ensure forward year projection forecasting of ICT spend required is identified and submitted to enable funding allocation via the Digital Restart Fund (DRF) or via Parameter Technical Adjustment (PTA) submissions as required.
  • Support the process to ensure Stronger Communities Digital Restart Fund (DRF) submission co-ordination in line with Central Agency approved processes and timeframes
  • Provide administration support for the IDS service catalogue, service costing methodology, Service Partnership Agreements (SPA) and IDS Service Metrics reporting requirements
  • Support the Cluster & Executive Agencies engagement, relationship & stakeholder management processes

  • Strong numeracy knowledge and skills, including financial forecasting
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • Proven ability to transpose technology and investment subject matter into plain english catering for a range of audiences and correspondence.
