The City's Economic Development team is seeking a dynamic and highly experienced person to manage a diverse team of professionals to deliver programs and policy on key community safety issues as outlined in the City of Sydney Community Safety Action Plan.

With relevant degree-level qualifications and demonstrated experience in managing a team in a complex environment, you will be responsible for leading strategic responses to achieve the City's objectives in relation to increasing actual and perceived safety in Sydney. Leading on key strategic areas including; harm minimisation, public safety, crime prevention, emergency response for vulnerable populations, safer design, and support for social housing residents.

Highly developed interpersonal and motivational skills are essential, as is the ability to effectively manage a range of stakeholders, and negotiate solutions to complex and sensitive matters. This must be supported by a high level of written and oral communication skills.

Please note: Interviews are scheduled to be held on Tuesday 1st June.
