Are you an experienced Building Surveyor with extensive experience in fire safety assessments and upgrading of buildings. If you are, the city has an exciting opportunity available for a motivated individual to serve the community to ensure buildings are safe and healthy.

 To be successful you will have: 

·        appropriate tertiary qualifications in Building, Building Science, Building Surveying, Engineering or equivalent

• extensive knowledge of essential fire safety measures within buildings and proven field experience in fire safety projects
• extensive knowledge and experience of relevant legislation including the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, Local Government Act, the BCA/ NCC series and Australian Standards as they relate to Fire Safety Systems and measures within buildings, including a sound understanding of building construction methods and materials.
• ability to work collaboratively and autonomously with highly effective relationship skills
• experience in stakeholder management, including dealing with complex issues and an ability to negotiate and mediate on contentious matters.
